3. Onboarding information
To create your account, we will ask you some personal information. Please remember that it’s not mandatory to provide us with this information, but it will allow us to provide better guidance for you in the future (currently we do not use this information yet):
- Name and last name: simply put, we would like to be able to address you personally.
- You as a runner: although we measure the load you experience, it’s also important how much load your body can handle. Providing us with the following (science based) information, enables us to create your ‘load capacity’ profile:
Date of birth: younger people can absorb the load more efficiently than younger people.
Length & Weight: people with a higher BMI experience higher loads compared to people with lower BMI.
Gender: in general, women are slightly more prone for overuse injuries compared to men.
Running experience: novice runners are more prone for overuse injuries compared to experienced runners.
Injury history: scientific literature is clear. The biggest risk factor for sustaining an injury is having already had one.
