Sensor connection: troubleshooting
If you can't find or connect your sensor to the OnTracx app, there are some steps you can follow to solve this issue.
1. Is your sensor awake? Did you simultaneously press the two metal pins on the back to wake up your sensor? Here's a quick and easy way to get started:
- Take it off the clip for easier access. Gently remove the sensor from, one pin at a time.
- Find the pins and flip the sensor over. Locate the two small pins ons the back.
- Briefly touch both pins simultaneously. This will wake up your sensor.
- Don't worry about turning the sensor off, it's smart enough to put itself to sleep mode after a while.
- You can also find some more information on how to connect the sensor to the app right here.
3. Is your sensor connected to another smartphone? Simply disconnect the sensor and try to connect it again to the app.
4. Let's reset the sensor. Remove the battery and place it back. You can follow
these instructions.
5. Is your battery dead? Replace the battery. You can follow
these instructions.
5. Let's close all other apps. Try closing all other apps, including the OnTracx app, and disconnect your phone from other bluetooth devices.
6. Can you find the sensor in the bluetooth settings of your phone (see figure below)? If your sensor appears in the list of available devices, open the OnTracx app and check if the sensor is available to pair here as well.
DO NOT PAIR THE DEVICE IN THE BLUETOOTH SETTINGS! THIS WILL BLOCK THE SENSOR FROM BEING CONNECTED WITH THE APP.
