Sensor connection: troubleshooting

If you can't find or connect your sensor to the OnTracx app, there are some steps you can follow to solve this issue.

1. Is your sensor awake? Did you simultaneously press the two metal pins on the back to wake up your sensor? Here's a quick and easy way to get started:
  1. Take it off the clip for easier access. Gently remove the sensor from, one pin at a time.
  1. Find the pins and flip the sensor over. Locate the two small pins ons the back.

  1. Briefly touch both pins simultaneously. This will wake up your sensor. (led wil be on continuously for one minute). During this period is the sensor available for pairing with external devices!

  2. Don't worry about turning the sensor off, it's smart enough to put itself to sleep mode after a while (in standby the led will be off).

  3. You can also find some more information on how to connect the sensor to the app right here

2. Does the application has access to bluetooth? For more information, check the following article

3. Is your sensor connected to another smartphone? Simply disconnect the sensor and try to connect it again to the app.

4. Let's reset the sensor. Remove the battery and place it back. You can follow these instructions

5. Is your battery of your sensor dead? Replace the battery. You can follow these instructions.

6. Let's close all other apps, turn bluetooth off and back on. Try closing all other apps, including the OnTracx app, and disconnect your phone from other bluetooth devices.

7. Turn ON GPS. For some Android devices it is possible that your sensor won't appear if your GPS is not active

Warning
DO NOT PAIR THE DEVICE IN THE BLUETOOTH SETTINGS! THIS WILL BLOCK THE SENSOR FROM BEING CONNECTED WITH THE APP.
